Homecoming

The big news at our house is homecoming. Not of the formal dress and corsage variety, but rather the soldier-who-has-been-out-of-the-country-for-nine-solid-months-and-is-coming-home-to-NASHVILLE type. The precise date is a moving target. Just today, Marc's group was delayed leaving Kuwait by 24hrs. They will be headed to Oklahoma for an unspecified number of days, then home to Nashville, probably before this time next week. See what I mean by moving target?
The kids are very excited about Daddy coming home. Wesley has been making about 10-20 welcome home signs each day, and Catelynn is just following suit with the general spirit of elation. She is equally excited about Bob and Larry fruit snacks, but oh well. I am using this week to prepare physically, mentally, and emotionally for the BIG changes ahead. It is a bit surreal that this journey is actually coming to an end. I am so thankful for the innumerable ways God has sustained both Marc and me for the last year and look forward to seeing his continuing faithfulness into the next phase...reintegration!
